Biography 
Lieutenant Dan Flowerdew began his law enforcement career as a Reserve Police Officer with Willows Police Department in 1988. In December of 1988 he graduated from the College of the Redwoods Police Academy and on March 18, 1989, was hired by the Red Bluff Police Department as a Patrol Officer. Lt. Dan Flowerdew has worked a variety of assignments at Red Bluff Police Department which consisted of Patrol Officer, Traffic Officer, DARE Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, and now a Lieutenant. Lt. Dan Flowerdew is also a SWAT Negotiator for the Tehama County SWAT Team.
Lt. Dan Flowerdew received his Associate of Arts Degree from Shasta College and in 2003, graduated from Simpson College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Leadership. During off duty hours Lt. Flowerdew enjoys snowmobiling, hiking, kayaking, motorcycle riding and spending time with his family.
The Support/Special Services Division is comprised of the Records Unit, Investigations Unit, and the Community Service Officer Unit the primary functions are to provide investigation services, and to deliver support services to the department. The Support/Special Services Division is currently commanded by one Lieutenant and staffed with two Detectives, one full time TIDE Investigator, one full time and one part time School Resource Officers, one Records Manager, one Records Specialist, and two Community Service Officers. These personnel work diligently everyday to make the City of Red Bluff a great place to live.
